Let’s connect ↑

01How do we get started?

The process begins with a conversation by phone to explore whether working together is a good fit for you. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an Initial Consultation to clarify your goals for our work together.

If another provider’s expertise would be a better fit, I’ll do my best to help you find the resources you need.

02Do we meet in person or online?

We can meet in the privacy of my office or from the comfort of your home via Zoom.

My in-person sessions are located at my office in Bannockburn, IL.

03Which approach is right for me?

Story Groups: An eight-week opportunity to engage stories of heartache and harm and imagine restoration in the caring presence of others.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques): A series of individual sessions using simple and effective strategies to address stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.

Forward Facing® Coaching: A series of individual coaching sessions to help you care for yourself while continuing to care for others.

If you’re wondering which approach would be best for you, let’s connect.

04What Happens in a Story Group?

Story Groups are limited to six participants who meet in person or online for an hour and forty-five minutes each week over eight weeks. Together, we’ll compassionately engage one another’s stories with kindness and curiosity. During each meeting, two members will be invited to read their childhood stories aloud to the group.

Together, we’ll explore how stories from the past continue to shape our relationships in the present and imagine new possibilities for the future—with greater freedom to be the people we were created to be and to experience the relationships we were meant for.

05Where can I learn more about fees and payment?

06Is this psychotherapy?

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and maintain a separate psychotherapy practice. Story work, EFT, and coaching offered through Compassionate Families are educational and coaching services and are not psychotherapy.
